There is no need to wait for the honeymoon before starting the
romance. Because of this, many couples are searching for
romantic wedding destinations. While the definition of romantic may vary from couple to couple, most consider a romantic wedding destination a place that is personal and intimate--perfect for inviting friends and family members to witness, share and celebrate this important day in their lives.
Lighthouses
For centuries, lighthouses have offered a ray of hope to those at sea. Its light alerts the ships that land is close and also warns of the dangers that land may hold. It doesn't get much more romantic than an ocean breeze blowing across the couple and their guests as they exchange their vows in the shadow of a lighthouse that has brought a sense of safety and security to so many.
Castles
Castles bring to mind lords and ladies and knights defending the honor of the women in their care. Exchanging vows in a place where such chivalry existed is a romantic gesture. Not only is a castle romantic, it is also practical. Many castles have grand ballrooms to host the reception.
Family Homes
Remembering the love that your grandparents or other family members shared in a home full of fond memories is a romantic wedding destination. Incorporating the love and commitment that they had for each other into your relationship can be started by beginning your life together in their home, which is a wonderfully romantic gesture.
Romantic Cities
London, Paris, Charleston, Venice and New Orleans are just a few ideas of romantic cities to have a wedding. These cities, as well as many others, offer a sense of romance that other cities can't. Of course, the city where you met your beloved, wherever that may be, would also be a romantic choice.
