Poconos Honeymoons
Love and the Poconos go together like a horse and carriage. That's not the line from a Frank Sinatra song, but it's fitting for newlywed couples seeking a
romantic getaway. The Poconos provide many attractive
resort spots, but Caesars Pocono
resorts in Lakeville, Pennsylvania, might be the place for honeymooners to celebrate.
Features
Caesars' heart-shaped tubs provide a romantic setting for couples.
Boasting its infamous heart-shaped and 7-foot champagne glass whirlpool baths-for-two (plus heart-shaped pools), Caesars attracts nearly 16,000 honeymoon couples per year. With a variety of room styles among its 176 suites, Caesars operates three properties located in the Pocono Mountains--Cove Haven, Paradise Stream and Pocono Palace. Amenities include all-inclusive packages for couples, and daily all-you-can-eat breakfast and dinner, various indoor and outdoor activities and nightly entertainment.
Caesars Cove Haven
Cove Haven is located on 136 acres within the northern region of the mountains in Lake Wallenpaupack. The least-expensive suite starts at $295 a night (The Harbour Towers) and the most expensive starts at $460 a night (The Champagne Towers by Cleopatra). Three of the room types (Champagne Towers, Garden of Eden Apple and Cove Fantasy) come with private swimming pools.
Caesars Paradise Stream
Renovated in 2006, Paradise Stream's suites include the Champagne Towers, Garden of Eden Apple and Lakeside Villa, the latter two starting at $395 and $370 a night, respectively. Located in Mount Pocono, the 138-acre Paradise Stream is the closest couples-only resort to The Crossings Premium Outlets, Camelback Ski Area/Camelbeach Waterpark, Jack Frost/Big Boulder Ski Resorts and Mount Airy Casino Resort.
Caesars Pocono Place
Caesars' largest property sits on 407 acres and looks like a country club. Pocono Place contains a 32,000-square-foot sports and entertainment center, as well as private golf courses, exercise spa, private mountain lake and indoor and outdoor swimming pools. The most expensive suite starts at $525 a night (The Roman Towers), with the least expensive starting at $295 (The Farway). Located near Marshalls Creek, Pocono Place is the closest to New York City of the three Caesars resorts.
Casino Activity
Poconos honeymooners may want to stop by a casino during their romantic getaway. Rather than travel all the way to Caesars Palace in Las Vegas (or even Atlantic City), there's the Mount Airy Casino Resort in Mount Pocono and Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs in Wilkes-Barre. However, only slot machines are currently available in Pennsylvania.
