Things to Do in Vegas While Pregnant
Vegas is an adult vacation playground but if you are pregnant you probably don't feel like clubbing till dawn, drinking your way down the strip or losing your money over a smokey black jack table. That doesn't mean that Vegas isn't for you. There are plenty of things to do while pregnant in Vegas that will put a smile on your face.
Gamble in the Smoke-Free Zone
Most casinos in Vegas have smoke-free areas for non-smokers to enjoy. The Bellagio, The Mirage, MGM Grand and Harrahs all have some non-smoking areas where you can win lots of money to furnish that nursery.
Go See a Show
Whether Cirque du Soleil is your speed or Donny and Marie, there is no shortage of entertainment for all guests, but especially for those pregnant mothers-to-be who want to get off their feet. Consider booking a dinner package deal so you have a great meal before the show.
Hit the Pool
Hotels like The Mirage and Bellagio, to name just two, have very beautiful pool areas with wading areas and sunning chairs to relax and take a nap in the warm Nevada sun. Cabanas are also available so that that rest of the family can splash around while you relax in the shade nearby.
Shop the Forum
Located in the Caesars Palace Hotel and Casino, this air-conditioned luxury mall has over 100 shops, restaurants and seating for tired feet along the way. Stores for both mom and baby will have you leaving with your hands full.
Spend the Day at the Spa
Nearly every hotel on the strip has a spa and/or salon and there is nothing better for pregnant women than a relaxing foot massage or facial. Make an appointment at a salon to get a new hair do or treat yourself to a manicure and pedicure.
Go to Paris
Take yourself away to Paris while shopping unique boutiques and enjoying French cuisine. The romantic lighting and stylish facades mean a relaxing respite from the hustle and bustle of the strip.
Get Room Service
You've spent good money on your hotel room with a view of the strip, so after a day in the sun relax in bed and order a world class meal delivered right to your door.
Check out a Special Exhibition
Whether its the Artifacts of the Titanic or the controversial Bodies show both featured at the Luxor, you'll find plenty to look at in Vegas. The Bellagio has a nice art museum and changing botanical display and don't forget the Living Garden show at the Palazzo.
Dancing Waters of the Bellagio
An after dinner show at the fountain in front of the Bellagio is a terrific way to relax and wind down your evening. Warm breezes and colorful dancing water will help you make a memory to share with your little one.
Use the Monorail
Take advantage of the monorail system to avoid the long walks to and from some of the casinos. You can travel between the Sahara, the MGM Grand, Treasure Island, The MIrage, the Excalibur, Mandalay Bay and The Luxor. It's terrific for buffet-hopping and getting to shops and shows.
