Restaurants Near the Florida Mall in Orlando, Florida
With warm weather year-round and plenty of trails for hiking and biking,
Orlando, Florida is a popular spot for active tourists. Outdoors enthusiasts can further take advantage of Orlando's many wetlands for canoeing, kayaking and fishing. Specific points of interest include Blue Spring State Park, Daubenmire Trail, Hal Scott Preserve and Peace River.
Orlando also is home to plenty of dining and shopping choices as well. The Florida Mall houses over 250 stores and is only minutes from Disney World, the Orlando International Airport and Universal Studios. There are also many restaurants nearby once you've gotten your fill of shopping and are ready for a bite to eat.
Sushi House of Orlando
As the name suggests, Sushi House of America specializes in sushi. It has won many awards for its sushi and it makes up the majority of its menu. The restaurant has a sushi bar, but you also can order sushi meals off the menu. In addition to sushi, Sushi House offers such entrees as salmon, chicken and beef teriyaki, and chicken and sushi tempura. Desserts include banana flambe, ice cream and cheesecake. Wine and sake also are available. Sushi House even offers sushi making classes for those wishing to learn how to make the stuff at home.

Wingit
Another restaurant in Orlando in the running for most illuminating name is Wingit, which specializes in, you guessed it, buffalo chicken wings. The sports bar makes clear on its website, however, that it is "not another wing place." Or perhaps more accurately not just another wing place. The menu also offers such selections as wraps, burgers, sandwiches (tuna, chicken, pork, BLT), salads and fried chicken dinners. Wingit is family friendly, with a separate kid's menu.

Pollo Tropical
Pollo Tropical is a family-friendly restaurant near Florida Mall that serves American- and Caribbean-style cuisine. The atmosphere is casual and families and children are welcome, with a separate children's menu available. House specialties include roast pork, Caribbean ribs, chicken and ribs and churrasco steak. Dessert specials include flan, tres leches and guava cheesecake. Family meals also are available.

If you're in the mood for something more ethnic, Viet Thai Cafe also is conveniently located just minutes from the Florida Mall. Specializing in Vietnamese and Thai cuisine, Viet Thai Cafe offers authentic and varied Asian dining options. Both dine in and takeout are available. The menu features such items as chicken satay, calamari, Thai fish cakes, soups and salads, tomato pepper steak, honey chicken and pho. Viet Thai Cafe also offers free Wi-Fi to its customers.
