Sightseeing in
New York can be an enjoyable experience if you book a tour package through a reliable company. Popular hot spots in the city that never sleeps include the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty and Carnegie Hall. A delicious New York-style cheesecake from Carnegie Deli is also recommended.
Wows and Woes
Most tours available are catered to making sure visitors are able to take in all of the most popular sights available. Tour guides provide a genuinely rich background of the city, helping tourists from feeling lost or overwhelmed.
One of the biggest downfalls to any tour is that bus stops for the tours are very crowded. Pets are not approved for tours because many sightseeing locations do not allow animals on the premises.
Insider Tips
Customize your tour package so you can get the most out of your experience and see the sights you truly want to see. Call ahead of time if you need extra accommodations for the elderly or disabled to make sure your tour is enjoyable and comfortable.
Author's Most Memorable Moment
Dinner at the Tavern On the Green was definitely one of the best experiences. The feel of fine dining was exquisite, and I enjoyed a savory meal of mozzarella, basil and tomato napoleon, Linguine Fini, and a side of sauteed spinach.
Bottom Line
Tours might seem a bit overcrowded, but they are generally well worth the experience. Tour guides help visitors feel safe and well informed, making the vacation a much better experience.
