The secret to providing a great vacation for kids is to take them to where the fun is. Fortunately, many popular vacation spots for kids are also education-oriented. Developers and promoters have discovered that learning and having fun are not exclusive of each other. In addition, developers now know providing fun and educational vacation venues for kids is a good way to keep them coming back for more.
Kalahari Resorts--Ohio
Kalahari resorts in Ohio contains America's largest indoor water park and is a favorite vacation spot for kids of all ages. The indoor park features such attractions as Zig Zag Zebra, Wild Wildebeest, Victoria Falls, Leopard's Lair, Elephant's Trunk, Shooting Star, Tanzanian Twister and Crocodile Cove. The indoor facilities also offer indoor surfing, body slides, and age-appropriate water attractions for toddlers. Kalahari's outdoor water park features bungalows, sandy volleyball courts, hot tubs, chaise lounges, activity pools, water sports, shuffleboard, spas, a swim-up bar and family raft rides. There are also Safari Adventures that feature interactive educational experiences with animals. Adult amenities also include room service, spa access and flat screen television. Dining at the resort can be found at the Ivory Coast Lounge, Java Manjaro, the Great Karoo Marketplace and Kahunaville Restaurant.

Space Camp
Space Camp is the ideal vacation for kids who have always wanted to study and explore outer space. The camp is divided into age-appropriate programs whose levels of challenge increase with age. Basic space camp is for girls and boys ages 9 to 11. The program gives them a chance to experience being on an International Space Station and an orbiter. Campers also get the chance to perform space mission tasks in a simulator, floating, bouncing and tumbling as free weights. Additional features include experiencing 4G liftoff, climbing the Mars Climbing Wall and building their own rocket. Space Camp offers three specialty tracks for kids: Space and Robotics, Space and Space and Aviation. Lodging, meals and materials are all covered in the programs cost. Space Academy is designed for older kids and preteens. The program provides training in an astronaut simulator and as a shuttle pilot, mission scientist and flight director and encourages teamwork. Space Academy has three specialty tracks: Space and Robotics, Space and Space and Aviation. Advanced Space Academy is for older teens. The camp program emphasizes fields of study such as engineering, aerospace science and space technology. The program gives campers experience in the physical and mental requirements of being an astronaut. It's a college-accredited program sponsored by the University of Alabama-Huntsville. The program features three tracks: Mission Specialist, Pilot and Pilot SCUBA.

SeaWorld Orlando
It's easy to see why SeaWorld remains a favorite vacation place for kids. The park features educational interactive stations that allow kids of all ages to learn about aquatic animal life. SeaWorld also offers attractions such as Penguin Encounter, Stingray Lagoon, Shamu's Happy Harbor, Dolphin Nursery, Shark Encounter and Turtle Point. The park also features the Wild Arctic Ride, Kraken, Journey to Atlantis, Shamu Express and SkyTower. Live shows include Shamu Rocks, Pets Ahoy, Elmo and Abby's Treasure Hunt and more. In between shows, kids can meet the animal trainers through the park's Dine with Shamu program, and gain backstage access to ask the trainers questions.
