Dallas is the second largest city in Texas after
Houston. The city of Dallas has many fun attractions and things to do no matter what you're interested in. Dallas has everything from a zoo to an all-thrill-ride amusement park which is sure to satisfy anyone.
White Rock Lake Park
White Rock Lake Park has a lake covering more than 1,000 acres and has more than 9 miles of waterfront trails for hiking and biking. The lake is perfect for fishing catfish and bass, and sailing. Horseback riding around the park is also offered. There are several playground areas throughout the park for children to play and also some picnic areas. There are bird sanctuaries and wetland sites at White Rock Lake Park, which are perfect for bird-watching.

Dallas Zoo
The Dallas Zoo has 95 acres of zoo animals and nature habitats. There are exotic animals such as Galapagos tortoises and meerkats, as well as traditional zoo animals like giraffes and gorillas. There is a nature trail where you can walk along a path while looking at the Dallas Zoo's featured attractions. There is also a safari monorail that takes you on a 20-minute narrated ride to view the six habitats inside the zoo. The Dallas Zoo also has a special area for children where they can take pony rides, and feed and interact with farm animals.

Dallas World Aquarium
The Dallas World Aquarium is the largest inland aquarium in the U.S. The aquarium portion includes 85,000 gallons of saltwater with a variety of marine life. There are also 10 displays and exhibits including a 40-foot-long tunnel where you can view sharks. There are more than 340 species of freshwater, marine and tropical fish. There are also other wildlife such as sea turtles, toucans and crocodiles. The best feature of the Dallas World Aquarium is the 22,000-gallon tunnel that you walk through to see a panoramic view of reef life.

Zero Gravity Thrill Amusement Park
The Zero Gravity Thrill Amusement Park is a one-of-a-kind amusement park that focuses on thrill rides. The amusement park has five different thrill rides: bungee jumping, Sky Coaster, Texas Blastoff, Nothin' But Net, and the Skyscraper. Bungee jumping at the Zero Gravity Thrill Amusement Park will have you leaping from a seven-story platform. The Sky Coaster is 110 feet high and simulates hand gliding in speeds up to 60 mph. The Texas blastoff is a vertical accelerator ride that shoots riders up 150 feet at 70 mph. Nothin' but net is a complete freefall from 100 feet, and the skyscraper is a towering propeller ride reaching speeds of 60 mph and pulling a force of 4Gs.
