Oak Creek Canyon, Arizona
Oak Creek Canyon is situated in North Central Arizona and includes Slide Rock State Park. It is part of the Coconino National Forest. Oak Creek Canyon is located near Sedona, which is famous for its breathtaking red rocks and mystic vortexes. This offers a number of additional things for kids to do. Camping is available inside of the park with campsites positioned amid the trees and next to streams. There are also cabins, lodges and bed and breakfast accommodations in the area. Things to do include hiking numerous trails, picnicking, fishing, bird watching, swimming, wildlife viewing and more. The park is called "slide rock" because of the natural slide formed at one of its popular swimming spots.

Lake Mohave Resort, Arizona
Lake Mohave resort is located in the Lake Mead Recreation area in the west of Arizona. The lake was created from the Davis Dam and is approximately 90 miles south of Las Vegas by road or about 60 miles by way of the Colorado River from famous Hoover Dam. Kids will enjoy a room near the water, camping in the campground at Katherine's Landing, on the shores of the lake or aboard a houseboat. There is plenty to keep everyone happy and the trip from Davis Dam to Hoover Dam includes a breathtaking glimpse at Arizona's natural surroundings and wildlife. There are marinas located along the trip and you pass through the spectacular Black Canyon.
