Anyone who has ever been to Pigeon Forge just once will want to go back time after time. Driving down the main strip, especially at night when the streets are lit up, will take your breath away. What makes Pigeon Forge so spectacular is that it is family-oriented, offering activities that both adults and children can enjoy. From amusement parks to theater dinner shows, one day in Pigeon Forge does not allow you enough time to take in all the fun this city has to offer.
Dollywood
This is perhaps the largest attraction is Pigeon Forge, created by none other than country music superstar, Dolly Parton. Open from March 28 through January 2, it offers over 40 rides, shows and attractions for families to enjoy. The water park, Splash Country, has been rated twice in the top 10 among the country's best water parks. It has been said that Dolly herself even stops in periodically to make appearances.
Blackbear Jamboree
This is a Broadway-style musical dinner show that combines music from the 50's through the 70s along with bluegrass and country. By the time you leave, you are satisfied not only from the four-course meal they have served, but also from the entertainment you and your family have enjoyed. Their most spectacular show is their Christmas show. It truly captures the meaning of Christmas.
Whitewater Rafting
This activity takes place on the Pigeon River and offers an exciting five mile ride down the rapids. It is broken down into two sections. The lower rapids which is geared toward beginners ages four and up. The second is the upper rapids for the more experienced whitewater rafters ages eight and up. All of these rides are guided tours.
Miracle Theater
This is a wonderful attraction for believer and non-believers alike. This is a musical dinner show that depicts the resurrection of Jesus. From the early prophecies in the Old Testament about His birth, to Jesus calming the Sea of Galilee during the storm, to His ascension after His crucifixion. This is a powerful show that is sure to touch you from beginning to end.
