Princess Cruise Ship Reviews

The Princess cruise ship fleet has some of the most luxurious and largest cruise ships out of any lines. The ships include the Caribbean, the Sapphire, the Coral, the Sea Princess, the Crown, the Star, the Dawn, the Sun, the Diamond, the Emerald, Golden, Grand, Island and Ruby Princess. The smaller ships are the Pacific, Royal, Tahitian and Ocean Princess.
Wows and Woes

Each ship offers unique activities pertaining to the region it travels. The staff is customer-oriented. Food choices include buffets, fine dining and casual restaurants. There are children and teenager areas.

It is difficult to find open hot tubs unless after midnight. It's worth investing in a balcony room rather than an interior suite, but can be expensive. When ships dock, there is only about half a day for exploring.

Insider Tips

Return customers should ask for a room upgrade. Read the ship's daily newsletter for free activities. Go to the back of the ship for quiet adult pools, and keep in mind that during nice weather chairs fill up by noon.

Author's Most Memorable Moment

Aboard the Caribbean Princess, the "movies under the stars" that took place on the upper deck was very memorable as a relaxing and fun experience. Also, the nightclub hung off the back of the ship, providing a surreal experience with incredible views. On the last night of the cruise, the ship's staff provided a champagne waterfall large enough to provide a glass of champagne for each and every guest in the main lobby.

Bottom Line

Decide what you want out of your cruise before booking to choose the ship that's right for you, whether you want a family-oriented ship or a quiet adult one.
