, Georgia is the home of more than 500,000 residents and is a destination for many tourists. The state capital houses the Georgia Aquarium, a variety of popular entertainment venues and four major sports teams: the Braves, the Hawks, the Flames and the Falcons.
With almost as many as options for hotels as there are for entertainment, it can be difficult to decide where spend your vacation. If money is your concern, a hostel might be something to consider.
Atlanta Hostel
The Atlanta Hostel became the first hostel in Atlanta when the establishment opened its doors for the first time in 1991. Located in Midtown, Atlanta, the 100-bed hostel is within walking distance of more than 100 bars and restaurants. Amenities available for guests include the use of the pool table, television, laundry room and free lockers and maps. Room prices for one bunk start at $21.95 per night, as of March 2010, and include free coffee and donuts.

Ashby House
The Ashby House, located two miles from Downtown Atlanta, is a small hostel/rooming house with 44 beds. Each room includes a desk, a chair, a wardrobe and a single bed or bunk beds.
Amenities available at the Ashby house are wireless internet, board games, vending machines, bicycle rentals and use of the kitchen and laundry room. Rooms are available on a per-week basis with costs starting at $225 per week for short term rentals, as of March 2010. Discounts are available for longer stays.

Hello B&B
The Hello B&B is a small hostel/bed and breakfast located in a quiet Atlanta neighborhood. It has four rooms available to rent with beds ranging in size from twin to queen and one room with two queen-size beds. Amenities at the Hello B&B include free Wi-FI access and use of the shared dining, living and kitchen areas and the hot tub.
