Turtle Bay Resort provides easy access to Oahu's North Shore.
Plan a relaxing and fun-filled vacation on Oahu's North Shore at the Turtle Bay
resort. Activities include surf lessons, horseback riding and trails you can hike at your leisure. Drop the kids off at the Keiki Turtle Club for supervised activities and take a kayaking expedition and eco-tour through Kawela Bay and Protection Point in a glass-bottomed kayak.
Surf Lessons
The surf school at Turtle Bay Resort offers lessons for beginning surfers and tips and techniques to help advanced surfers hone their skills. Lessons range from the daily free surf skills class that lasts for 20 minutes and gives you an introduction to the world of surfing. Private and group lessons also are available for a fee.
Horseback Riding
Take a leisurely trail ride along the sandy beaches and through the tropical forests of Oahu's North Shore. Turtle Bay offers group horseback rides, private riding lessons and pony rides daily for children. You can call ahead for an appointment; just make sure that you do not exceed the maximum weight limit of 225 pounds.
Hiking Trails
Enjoy a casual stroll or an adventurous hike along 12 miles of oceanfront trails and seaside pathways within Turtle Bay Resort. Feel the breeze of the ironwood trees and listen to the sounds of the surf as you embrace the tranquility of being one-on-one with nature.
Kayaking
Experience a two-hour kayaking expedition and eco-tour along the North Shore with experienced guides from Turtle Bay. Kayaks have clear bottoms, offering you a window to marine life like the green sea turtles in Kawela Bay, colorful corals and exotic fish. You can hunt for buried treasure, explore a WWII sea bunker and relax on a secluded beach during your kayaking excursion.
Keiki Turtle Club
Your children can enjoy supervised activities designed especially for them at the Keiki Turtle Club. They'll learn about Hawaiian culture through games, arts and crafts projects and lei making. Swimming, reef walks and crab hunts are also on the schedule.
