How to Swim With Dolphins in Texas

When most people think about swimming with the dolphins, they don't necessarily think about Texas. However, this state has a few different types of dolphin excursions. This type of experience gives you memories that will last a lifetime and memories you can share with your loved ones later. If you're planning on taking a trip to Texas, consider doing a little dolphin swimming.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step 1

Swim with the dolphins at Dolphin Connection if you're traveling to Corpus Christi or the Gulf Coast. There, adults and children can swim with dolphins in one-hour blocks.

Step 2

Plan on Colly's Fins Photos Safaris if you're traveling to South Padre Island. This is one of the better-known companies that offer the chance to swim with dolphins.

Step 3

Call your hotel before you check in, and ask about other opportunities for swimming with dolphins. The hotel may know of local companies offering this opportunity and may even have discounts available for those staying at that hotel.

Step 4

Reserve a spot ahead of time by calling the company before you arrive. These experiences are fairly popular and tend to fill up quickly. If you wait too long, you might miss out on a spot.

Step 5

Ask any questions that you have when you make your reservation. This gives you the chance to find out how you should act around the animals and what they expect you to wear. You can also ask questions about photographing the experience and age limits, if you're taking younger kids.
