Orlando, Florida offers a chance to swim with the dolphins at Discovery Cove (next to SeaWorld). During your day at Discovery Cove be sure you can also visit the aviary, float through the tropical landscape of wind-away river, check out a tropical reef where you can reach out and stroke the stingrays, and relax or swim at Serenity Bay.
Book Early
Book early, at least two months in advance. A limited amount of people are allowed in the park daily and it fills quickly.
What to Bring
Bring your own swimsuit, swim shoes, sunglasses and dry clothes. Jewelry is not allowed for animal safety.
Prices
Prices at Discovery Cove in Orlando range from $189 (non-dolphin) to $289 (swim with dolphins) and includes a 14-consecutive day pass to either SeaWorld Orlando or Busch Gardens Tampa. The all-inclusive full day package includes swim vest, wetsuit, mask, snorkel, towels, beach chairs, and suntan lotion. Also included in the one price is use of lockers, free parking, souvenir snorkel, photo, breakfast, lunch, drinks and snacks for the day, and a 30-minute one-on-one swim with the dolphins.
Park Hours
Park hours are from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., but you can check-in as early as 8:00 a.m.
Guests Requiring Help
If you require Kosher or vegetarian meals (or have allergies the chef needs to be aware of) check in at Laguna Grill early on the day you arrive and let the staff know. Discovery Cove also offers guests with disabilities specially-designed wheelchairs with big tires for easy use on the beach. If a disabled guest is able to maneuver with limited assistance, swimming with the dolphins is available in various wading locations.
