The Point Loma Lighthouse is a popular San Diego tourist attraction.
Cabrillo National Monument and the Point Loma Lighthouse sit atop 160 acres of protected land which overlook the
San Diego Bay and the Pacific Ocean. The Cabrillo National Monument was created to commemorate Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo, the first European to visit the West Coast. He landed in San Diego Bay on September 28, 1542. Visitors, when planning a trip to the Cabrillo National Monument and Point Loma Lighthouse, should rest assured that there are four-star hotels in the vicinity.
