Going to the
beach is a favorite pastime among people all over the world. However, people who visit the
beaches of Jamaica often find that these beaches are different thanks to the stunning surroundings and the serenity.
Beach Destinations
Jamaica includes a number of different beach destinations. One of the most promoted beach destinations in the country is Montego Bay. Negril is another nice beach destination, which is located less than an hour away from Montego Bay.
Accommodations
Although there are several large hotels and resorts along Jamaican beaches, there are also a number of smaller hotels. Bed and breakfasts that have 10 to 15 rooms are popular because they add to the feelings of peace and quiet.
Geography
Jamaica is located in the Caribbean near a number of other beach destinations, including Puerto Rico, the Grand Cayman Islands and the British Virgin Islands.
Solitude
Jamaican beaches tend to be quieter than other popular destinations. The reason why is because the hotels and accommodations can be expensive. This makes staying on some Jamaican beaches more exclusive to those who have the money to pay for it.
Activities
In addition to simply lounging on the beach, activities like snorkeling, scuba diving, para-sailing and horseback riding are all popular things to do on a Jamaican beach.
