Wows and Woes

Staff are highly professional and offer nutritional, exercise and medical assessments. Rates include an allowance for spa and health services. Food is plentiful and in great variety, and all items are healthy. Individuals with special needs can find satisfying options.
The Sonoran desert is beautiful but daytime summer temperatures frequently exceed 100 degrees F. While it is a drier heat than most people are used to, the extreme temperatures may be difficult to handle. The price tag is also lofty. Rates vary based on time of year, program and type of accommodations; expect to pay a minimum of $700 a night.

Canyon Ranch Arizona Life Enhancement Center
I attended the week-long Life Enhancement Center program on scholarship as a local who contributes to our community. The knowledge and mindset I gained from attending lectures and meeting with the nutritionist, physicians and health experts was a turning point for me. It began my transition from a vegan with an incredibly unhealthy diet to one who understands what I eat and makes good dietary choices, and led me to other healthy endeavors.
