If you're a vegetarian, you don't want to worry about finding foods you can eat while on vacation. And if you're single, you don't want to pay a room supplement if you're traveling alone. There are a number of options available for single vegetarians who wish to travel in the tropics.
Belize
The Orchid Garden, an eco-friendly hotel, offers an alternative for vegetarians who are single. This all-inclusive resort offer vegetarian food. It is located just 20 miles from the airport and offers a relaxing environment for everyone from singles to families. While the rooms are relatively spartan, the location is ideal for access to Zipline tours and Mayan ruins. The pool is a natural, fresh water swimming option, and you can observe many species of butterflies and birds from any armchair at the hotel.

Grenada
The Lodge in Grenada caters to vegans and vegetarians. Single travelers can stay in either of the two rooms; both provide an en suite bathroom and double bed. It is a carbon-neutral accommodation. All bedding and linens are washed with vegan soap to ensure a minimal impact as well. The location looks out onto the Caribbean sea, which you can enjoy from your private balcony. It is located about a 45-minute walk from the beach, although you can scooter or bike to the sea.

Ecuador
Located in the Andes mountains, Black Sheep Inn prides itself on providing a gourmet vegetarian experience, often sourcing from its own organic garden. The Inn does not charge a singles supplement and offers a discount for those staying three nights or more. If you bring a donation for the community, such as a computer, centrifuge or Spanish language book, the Black Sheep Inn will pick you up at the airport for free.
