What are Some Activities for Kids in NYC?
The kids are coming along on the vacation to New York City this year. There is no reason to worry, as the Big Apple is not only kid friendly, it is kid fantastic. Whether parents want to be included in the activities or want to drop the kids off for an hour or two, New York can accommodate most visitors' needs.
New York Hall of Science

Located in Flushing, Queens, this museum is a great choice for kids as there are more than 400 hands-on exhibits covering science and technology. Activity areas include astronomy, biochemistry and digital technology, with exhibitions like Hidden Kingdoms: The World of Microbes, The Search for Life Beyond Earth and Sound Sensations: The Inside Story of Audio. Appropriate for all ages. The museum offers science birthday parties as well.

Super Soccer Stars

After a few hours at the museum under close supervision, the kids will be loaded with energy. One activity to help them unwind would be an hour or two with Super Soccer Stars. This company focuses on showing kids a great time playing sports in a noncompetitive environment, with a focus on developmental skills and kicking around a few soccer balls. There are set locations around the city or you can organize your own private class and have the coaches come to you.

Mars 2112

Mars 2112 is a Martian-themed restaurant in Times Square, not far from the Ed Sullivan Theater where the David Letterman show takes place. Full of games and activities, the restaurant is below street level and even includes faux lava tunnels and asteroids throughout its interior, which also includes metal grated flooring. Appropriately lit are tunnel areas with red warning lights.
