Exotic cars
In car-centric Los Angeles, nothing proclaims a couple's cool like an exotic, luxury convertible. In the daylight, cruise with your indulgence down the freeways before handing the keys over to a valet for an evening rendezvous at a fancy restaurant and nightclub. A Porsche 997 Turbo runs $1,200 a day while a Ferrari F430 Spyder costs just under $3,000 per day. Bring your credit card, driver's license, full insurance coverage and a superb driving record.

Tour homes
L.A.'s burgeoning population encourages new housing developments to grow like mushrooms. Whether your tastes run to lofts, mansions, condos or ranch houses, you'll easily find model homes that you both can dream in together. Most will also be well-decorated, perhaps prompting ideas for your love nest. Look for developments that features several models, so you can spend more time admiring rather than driving.
