The Sicilian city of Syracuse---Siracusa in Italian---faces the Ionian Sea and originally was a Greek settlement. Greek and Roman amphitheaters and other ruins are visited by tourists from all over the world; thus accommodations have been made readily available throughout the city.
LoL Hostel
Centrally located, LoL Hostel offers four bed dorms or private rooms. Use of the kitchen is available to guests, and the hostel provides bike rentals. The hostel is new and modern and a few feet away from the bus stop and train station and within walking distance of Archaeological Park.
LoL Hostel is a youth hostel but there is no curfew and reception is open 24 hours a day. Internet on public computers is available for a low hourly rate and free brochure guides can be found at the reception desk.

Pensione Bel-Sit is a short walk from the historic center of Syracuse. Situated on the fourth floor of a building with an elevator, the affordable rooms have shared bathrooms. The Pensione is clean and basic but often just right for the budget traveler. Breakfast is included in the price of the stay.

Case Damma
Case Damma is an Agriturismo (B&B on a farm) about five miles outside of Siracusa. Located in a large rustic farmhouse, the hotel has affordable rates, which include breakfast, and its staff is open to discussing half-pensions or no breakfast. Some of the rooms are air conditioned, and there is shuttle service and the possibility of renting boats or cars. Agriturismo offers culinary courses, guided tours, bicycles and a swimming pool.
