There is nothing that can ruin a vacation more than bad weather so that is a big consideration when picking a time of year to visit Cancun. While the warm temperatures will always be there, rain is common in the spring and fall. It is also important to consider the types of crowds the time of year attracts.
Deals
The best deals to Cancun are during the slowest times. Fall is a good time for bargains. Also, holidays are not always popular times to travel, and specials are often available during Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Singles
College students love Cancun for spring break, but the beginning of September (after Labor Day) is an ideal time for other adults to visit Cancun. At this time, all students are back in school, and there are usually some great bargains on airfare and hotels.
Honeymoons
Cancun is an excellent honeymoon destination, and adult-only hotels are offered. For an active honeymoon, the beginning of the year (February, March) will offer the best weather.
With The Kids
For travel with kids, summertime and school vacations are best when hotels and businesses are more child-friendly. Stay away from spring break time for colleges (usually the end of March) when traveling with kids.
Hurricanes
Hurricane season in Cancun spans from June to November, with most of the activity later in this season in this area of the Caribbean. Early summer hurricanes are rare in Cancun.
