The Caribbean
Beautiful sunsets are only one of the Caribbean's many attractions.
The Caribbean is a collection of islands scattered across the Caribbean Sea. This area includes large islands such as Cuba that have thousands of acres of land. It also includes smaller island nations such Dominica. July is an excellent time to visit this area. Summer is low season in the Caribbean. Prices for hotel rooms drop as much as 50 percent compared to prices in the high season during the winter. The Caribbean has many activities for honeymooners. Newly married couples can walk along secluded beaches, visit night clubs and explore the area's diverse wildlife. Many Caribbean resorts welcome honeymooners with special perks such as champagne breakfasts. Certain resorts such as Couples Negril in Jamaica, Sandals St. Lucian Regency Golf resort and Spa in St. Lucia and Galley Bay Resort in Antigua are strictly for adults and do not welcome children.
The Amalfi Coast
Italy's Amalfi Coast offers the perfect setting for a honeymoon.
The Amalfi Coast is one of the world's most romantic destinations. Located in southwestern Italy not far from Naples, the coast is largely composed of a series of towns perched on lush hillsides beside the Mediterranean Sea. July is a great time to visit this area because it is one of the busiest times of year. The weather is warm enough to allow swimming in the nearby sea. Visitors can stroll through towns like Sorrento, exploring quaint side streets and shops with local products for sale. Flowers and fruit trees are in bloom allowing visitors to sample dishes with fresh ingredients. Transportation connections between towns are plentiful allowing easy connections all along the coast. Honeymooners can enjoy a secluded breakfast on the beautiful island of Capri and visit the island's famed Blue Grotto. Here the light sparkles making the entire cave glow with blue light.
Cape May
Multicolored Victorian houses line the streets of Cape May.
Tour Cape May. Located at the very southern tip of New Jersey's shoreline, Cape May is filled with refurbished Victorian houses painted dozens of different colors. Such houses often serve as bed and breakfasts. They welcome honeymooners with beautifully designed bedrooms, special honeymoon suites and romantic restaurants. A visit in July means most inns are open, as are nearby beaches and a well-kept boardwalk. Newly married couples can lie on the beach together, take whale-watching trips or just sit and rock on the porch of a hotel surrounded by greenery and delightful wooden details.
