Dallas is the third-largest city in the Texas, and it draws a large number of visitors who arrive for both pleasure and business. The city offers a wealth of tourist attractions and places of interest such as the John F. Kennedy Memorial Plaza. When it comes to food, the restaurants in Dallas have come a long way from the city's original cowboy cuisine roots.
Stephan Pyles Restaurant

Stephan Pyles Restaurant is housed in a George Dahl-designed building situated in the heart of the Dallas Arts District. Operated by acclaimed chef Stephan Pyles, it features a fusion of Latin and Indian cuisine producing dishes such as spit-roasted chicken, short ribs with curried artichoke and red lentil wild boar. Samar is open for dinner Monday through Saturday, and for lunch Monday through Friday. Parking is difficult in this area, but the restaurant provides a complimentary valet for dinner hours only.

Craft

Craft is an upscale establishment created by celebrity chef Tom Colicchio of Food Channel fame. The diverse menu at Craft contains delicacies including golden raisin quail, skate wing and Wagyu beef tongue. Leslie Brenner of The Dallas Morning News describes foie gras terrine as "impossibly silky." Craft is located within the trendy W Hotel Dallas, and it is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner on a daily basis. Diners are provided with free complimentary parking by the hotel.

Dixie House Restaurant

Dixie House serves down-home Southern cuisine in a casual setting. Offerings include Southern-fried chicken livers, smothered steak and the signature blue ribbon fried chicken. Obviously not a good venue to count calories, Dixie House provides manna for those desiring carbs. The restaurant is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner. Catering is available within the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Old Warsaw Restaurant

Old Warsaw Restaurant is a Dallas landmark providing guests with a romantic candlelit dining experience since 1948. Old Warsaw features French continental cuisine and an extensive wine cellar focusing on California and French vineyards. According to its website, the Old Warsaw was awarded the coveted AAA four-diamond award for 2009. Menu selections include pan seared Dover sole, braised pheasant and prime chateaubriand. The restaurant is open only for dinner seven days a week.
