Galveston, Texas has several
cruises departing year-round. The Royal
Caribbean Cruise line offers specials throughout the year on its cruise packages, with ports of call to
Mexico, the Bahamas and the Spanish cities of Malaga and Barcelona. Carnival Cruises offers two ships, the smaller Ecstasy and the larger Conquest. The Carnival Ecstasy cruise is based in Mexico while the Conquest sails out of Jamaica and Mexico.
Royal Caribbean
Royal Caribbean offers a seven-night cruise from Galveston, Texas to the Caribbean and a 14-night transatlantic cruise by way of Galveston. The cruise is aboard the Voyager of the Seas, which was the largest cruise ship when it began sailing in November 1999. It weighs 138,000 tons and can easily hold 3,114 guests. The ship offers several features such as an ice-skating rink, a rock-climbing wall, in-line skating, Royal Promenade, nine-hole miniature golf course, Casino Royale, Adventure Ocean youth facilities, fitness center, day spa, and a full-size basketball court. Enjoy parties and special entertainment nightly. The Voyager makes stops in Mexico, Honduras, Belize, Bahamas, Azores and Spain.

Carnival Conquest
The Carnival Conquest is one of Carnival's largest ships. It has 13 decks, passenger capacity of 2,974, and weighs in at 110,000 tons. The Conquest offer seven-day cruises from Galveston with daylong docking in Jamaica, the Cayman Islands and Mexico. The Conquest offers something for everyone, including stage shows, spas, clubs and lounges, dining, miniature golf, fine dining, shopping, Twister Waterslide, Camp Carnival for the ages 2-to-11 group, Circle "C" for the 12-to-14-year-olds and a casino.

Carnival Ecstasy
The Carnival Ecstasy while on a smaller scale than the Conquest, still boasts a guest capacity of 2,052 and weighs a massive 70,367 tons. The Ecstasy offers four-day cruises from Galveston with a daylong dock in Cozumel, Mexico. It also offers five-day cruises with daylong docks in Cozumel and Progreso, Mexico. Like all Carnival cruise ships, the Ecstasy offers an exciting time for the entire family or the honeymooners. It has the Waterworks that is fun for the entire family, an adult-only retreat, outdoor pool, shopping, wireless Internet connections, activities for the 2-to-14-years-olds, a spa, casino, dining, fast foods and live entertainment.
