Ocean City is a vacation option for business travelers visiting either
Baltimore or Washington, D.C. It is located on the east coast of Maryland, approximately two to three hours from both cities. This
resort town offers a variety of activities for vacationers, including beautiful
beaches on the Atlantic Ocean, amusement piers, restaurants and bars. Staying at an oceanfront hotel will allow you to enjoy its beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean and large sandy beaches. When searching for an oceanfront hotel in Ocean City, keep in mind that the peak travel season runs from Memorial Day until Labor Day and features the highest hotel rates.
Plim Plaza Hotel
Located on the Ocean City boardwalk, the Plim Plaza Hotel is a great place for families wanting to be near both the ocean and the amusement piers. These amusement piers offer plenty of entertainment, including rides, games and shopping. The piers are only about a half-mile walk down the boardwalk in the inlet area.
If relaxation is more your style, you can enjoy an adult beverage at the Caribbean-themed bar, located poolside of the hotel. If you want to enjoy the scenery, the Plim Plaza Hotel has a porch with rocking chairs that overlooks both the boardwalk and the beach.

Paradise Plaza Inn
The Paradise Plaza Inn is another oceanfront hotel located on the boardwalk, about one mile from the inlet. The hotel adds a few perks in its rooms that other oceanfront hotels on the boardwalk don't offer, including bottled water delivered to your room daily, a clock radio with an iPod docking station, terry cloth robes and free wireless Internet access. These set the Paradise Plaza Inn apart from other Ocean City oceanfront hotels because it tends to attract more families and professional business individuals instead of the louder teenage and early twenties aged guests, which are common in Ocean City, Maryland.

Grand Hotel Ocean City
The Grand Hotel Ocean City is the largest hotel on the boardwalk and is perfect for those wanting a retreat from the louder inlet section. Here, you can reserve one of their king whirlpool suites on the top floor, which overlooks the beach and features a large whirlpool in the corner of the room. Other amenities include an outdoor pool, game room and fitness center. There is a coffee shop, lounge and pizzeria within the hotel for those who don't feel like fighting the crowds on the boardwalk or in town.

Dunes Manor Hotel
If you're looking to get away from crowded beaches, the Dunes Manor Hotel, situated one block north of the boardwalk, is just the spot. The beach is more secluded when compared to those at the south end of the boardwalk. For those who like to cook, the rooms at the Dunes Manor Hotel feature full kitchens, giving you the option of preparing your own meal. The hotel also features a pool that is half inside the hotel and half outside, so guests can enjoy it regardless of the weather. There is even a bar on the beach in front of the Dunes Manor Hotel that is open during peak tourist season.
