San Francisco is a bustling city in northern California. Home to 800,000 people and set on a peninsula, this city's airport is situated right on the water in San Francisco Bay. Even though the city is so condensed, it has several four-star hotels near the airport which are convenient for incoming travelers.
Westin San Francisco Airport
Five miles from the airport is the Westin San Francisco Airport. This smoke free hotel features such amenities as free airport transportation, business center, laundry service and fitness center.
All rooms offer the famous Westin Heavenly Bed, coffee makers, Internet access (for a charge), in-room safe and mini bar. Because of the location, some of the rooms will have a view of San Francisco bay.

Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport
The Hyatt has 789 newly renovated rooms and suites and is ideally located near the airport. This hotel has a complimentary 24-hour shuttle to and from the airport and BART.
The hotel rooms all feature iHome AM/FM radio with iPod dock, coffee maker and available turndown service. Business guests will like the high-speed wireless Internet (for a $9.95 fee), an ergonomic workstation, data port and a daily newspaper.
The Hyatt has a Hertz rental car desk in the lobby. It also offers guests a currency exchange, 24-hour business center, laundry services, gift shop and valet parking. There is a heated outdoor swimming pool and spa. For fitness the hotel has gym with free weights, treadmills and elliptical machines; it features a bayside jogging path.
The Hotel has two outlets for dining. The Swiftwater Café features California cuisine in a casual setting while the Knuckles Historic Sports Bar and Grill is a good place to watch sports on 24 plasma TVs.

Sheraton Gateway San Francisco Airport
Three miles from the airport is the Sheraton Gateway. This hotel is on San Francisco and offers great access to the water and bayside trails.
The accommodations have 42-inch flat screen TV's which allow guests to plug computers into them to create large monitors. They also feature a work desk area, high speed Internet (for a fee), coffee makers with Starbucks coffee, and mini-bar. An upgrade to the club level presents a complimentary breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres.
The 24-hour airport transportation is convenient for early departures and late arrivals. The 24-hour business center offers guests copy and print services. People looking to work out will find the 24-hour fitness center and indoor heated pool a bonus.
Room service is available for people who would like to dine in their room. But for a more public restaurant experience, Windows on the Bay is the dining option in the hotel. This casual eatery is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
