The Best Cabins in Gatlinburg, Tennessee
There's no better way to enjoy the magnificent beauty of the Smoky Mountains than spending a few nights in a traditional log cabin. Gatlinburg, Tennessee, considered the gateway to the mountains and national park around it, offers many rental options to visitors. Whether you want privacy, full-fledged comfort or rustic solace, there's something for everyone.
Cobbly Nob Rentals
Cobbly Nob is one of few accommodations that offers both pet-friendly and Internet-ready cabins. Cabins start at just $140 for a single-bedroom, two-person cabin, but the company can also accommodate large groups and families, as larger cabins have up to eight bedrooms. Stays include free breakfast, a private hot tub and use of the communal swimming pool. Linens and towels are provided and all cabins have large flat-screen TVs (65 inches), DVD players, dishwashers, fireplaces and jacuzzis. The cabins are close enough to Gatlinburg that guests can easily drive into town for dinner or some arts and crafts shopping. Some of the cabins are close to the road, while others are perched high in the hills, allowing for more privacy and incredible views of the Smoky Mountains.

Elk Springs Resort
Elk Springs resort is one of the most secluded options in Gatlinburg. All cabins are surrounded by trees and most offer clear views of the mountains. Cabins are far away from each other and from the roads, providing guests complete solitude and peace that other places don't seem to offer. The property covers 68 acres, and has its own hiking trails, creeks and biking roads. All furniture in the cabins are made of rustic logs or cast iron to conserve the feel of being in the woods. However, amenities and modern comfort are no stranger here, as Internet connection, large projection screens, private hot tubs and pool tables are present in all cabins. Most cabins have fireplaces, gazebos and porches.
Elk Springs caters to honeymooners, offering specials for its most secluded cabins. This is a do-it-yourself place, though. There's no breakfast or daily cleaning of the place. The larger cabins have lots of entertainment options for children, including Xbox 360, foosball tables and TV/DVD players (movies included) in all rooms.

Amazing Views of the Smokies Cabin & Chalet Rentals, LLC
For a different look and feel, try the Amazing Views cabins, which the company identifies as "chalets". Many of the cabins look more like houses than rustic cabins. Whether that's a good thing or not depends on what you're looking for, so don't discard the idea right away. Fireplaces, hot tubs and grills are present in all cabins, as are game rooms featuring everything from pool tables to darts to exercise equipment. Contemporary lodge-style decor is the standard and floor-to-ceiling glass windows can be found in the most expensive cabins. Of the many cabins available, less than 10 are pet friendly. Smoking is not allowed in any of the properties. The company also has condos for rent if you prefer to stay closer to town.
