Renting a house in Florida is a great way to spend your vacation, however, there are some logistics you should consider first. Remember that some
beach house rentals in Florida are rented by their owners and others may be rented by companies or real estate agents. This can affect rates, dates of availability, and other factors, so find out who is renting the home up-front.
Deposit
Regardless of who is renting the beach house, you will be required to make a deposit to reserve your dates and to cover any damages to the home during your stay.
Payment
Payment for a beach house rental in Florida will be required up-front, and generally you will have to pay the full amount by a specific date.
Linens
Some beach house rentals in Florida include linens, from sheets to towels, while others offer only sheets and some require you to bring all towels and sheets.
Cleaning Fee
Almost all beach house rentals in Florida will have a cleaning fee. The amount will be based on who does the cleaning and the fee they charge, the size of the home and other factors.
Keys
Once you have paid your deposit and rental fee, you may be mailed the keys if you are renting from an owner. If you are renting from an agency, you may pick up the keys upon arrival.
Television, Telephones and Internet
Ask if cable or satellite service is connected and if there is a telephone connected for local phone calls. Find out if Internet is available and whether it is WiFi or dial-up.
