Overview

The Light House is a collection of indoor and outdoor spaces created with a complimentary merging of Indonesian, Japanese, Moroccan and East Indian cultures. The home is so outstanding that it has been featured in books and on television programs. One of the best features of the home is the spectacular views of Cathedral Rock. The home is a green home which means it is very friendly for individuals with allergies and sensitivities. We use natural scents and cleaning products and ask the same of our guests. The home does not have cable but has high speed wireless internet. Around every corner there is a place to relax inside and outside of the home. There are three buildings on the property. The main house has 6 bedrooms, the art studio is a one room building that is ideal for meetings/yoga and the last building is a one room bedroom with two twin beds and a deck. The main house has 6 bedrooms. 4 downstairs and 2 upstairs. The master bedroom has a king bed, fireplace, TV with vcr/dvd, small office, large cedar walk-in closet and adjoining bathroom. The master bathroom features a large steam shower and pebble lined tub. Another bedroom adjoins the master bathroom and has two twin beds. The main living room has a rock fireplace and stereo system. The stereo system has speakers throughout the home, on the back patio and in the art studio. Individual volume controls are in each room. The home has a large plasma TV with dvd/vcr which is in the living room. Off the living room is another bedroom with two Bali style double beds and an adjoining bathroom with a shower. The kitchen is a gourmet kitchen that has all high end stainless steel large appliances. Also downstairs is a green room filled with plants and a rain shower to rinse off after a swim. Through the green room is the bamboo bedroom which has a king size bed and two twin day beds. This room is surrounded by bamboo and a few rose bushes. There is also a bathroom and laundry room nearby. The laundry room has a front load washer and dryer, microwave, supplies and sink. The handcrafted walnut staircase leads to a large bedroom that has two queen beds with a large TV with dvd/vcr. This room has a panoramic view of the area. Down the hallway is another bedroom that has a king bed and balcony. Between the two bedrooms is a bathroom with a shower. The beauty and design of the home is beyond words and needs to be experienced to truly understand. The house has tall ceilings with large 100 year old beams that were reclaimed from a bridge in Utah. Gleaming hardwood floors, top-of-the-line custom faux finishes, high quality custom cabinetry, and an unbeatable combination and wise use of rich heart fur, walnut and birch woods throughout are just some of the elegant amenities of this scumptuous living environment. The Light House offers a full sensory environment enhanced by inspirational natural and handmade architectural essentials: egg-shaped door knobs, pebble stone walls, hammered tin lights from Asia, custom furniture, hand carved doors & banisters. Extensive custom trellises & 'weathered' rustic fencing. The Light House also incorporates the principles of Feng Shui to create an environment that is energetically aligned promoting harmony, serenity, creativity and vitality. An impressive cleansing crystal is strategically placed in the center of the house to ensure a healthy environment. The heating system is radiant floor heating. The cooling system is two swamp coolers in the main house. The house is designed so that the entrance is protected from the summer sun.
