Overview
Named for legendary Algonquin Chief Powhatan, the luxurious Powhatan Plantation is located on over 250 acres of land in Williamsburg, Va. It is three miles from Colonial Williamsburg and 12 miles from Busch Gardens. The airport is 20 miles away.
The charm of the resort is accented by its wooded forest, open fields, ducks and ponds. Inside, decor is modern but still reflects the days of yore. The restored Manor House was built in 1735.
This resort features indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness center, spa tub and 19-hole mini-golf course. There are two restaurants on site. The Grille is family friendly serves home-style meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Kitchen, which offers contemporary American and international cuisine in a more formal atmosphere, uses local ingredients and has its own herb garden. Additional amenities include hiking and biking trails, basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, playground, racquetball, and tennis courts. Parking is complimentary.
There are 444 guestrooms at the resort. Each one- and two-bedroom unit has a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, blender, toaster, cookware and utensils. Also included are patios or balconies, washers and dryers and cable television with VCR.
