The Village Inn and Pub was built around the cottage to integrate the architecture of the neighborhood and the facade of the cottage. There is not one room that has the same floor plan as another. Each room has its own unique style that adds to the character of the inn. The beach cottage serves as the main gatehouse and features an antique English pub made of solid mahogany. Guests are invited to enjoy a continental breakfast served daily on the sun porch of the pub and relax in front of the original stone fireplace surrounded by various antiques and treasures. The small and intimate guesthouse and inn is the perfect setting for a wedding, reunion, business meeting, romantic weekend, or any private function. Located on a a quiet neighborhood street with a courtyard pool and intimate pub, guests will enjoy the peaceful ambience of the Village Inn and Pub. Each room at the Village Inn is named after an historical individual that has had some significant impact on St. Simons Island, such as James Hamilton, Eugenia Price, James Edward Oglethorpe, or Mildred Nix Huie. All of the rooms have historical elegance with soothing color schemes and majestic crown moldings. The rooms are eloquently appointed, each with a a custom built armoire that houses a 27-inch television. Each room also has a desk and offers high-speed wireless Internet service. Other amenities include a telephone with voice mail, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, and soft, cozy robes.
