Overview
Welcome to the Alexander Benjamin House. We invite you to stay in our charming traditional Victorian Inn. The world around this structure has changed in the past 100 years, but, little has on its foundation. Built sometime in the late 1800's by Wellington Weaver and his wife Fiana Andreas Weaver, this family treasure had been passed down from generation to generation. For all of its existence, this building served the community either as a general store, apartments, or post office. The existing barn and garages served as a livery stable and implement shop. Enjoy the antiques as you make yourself at home in the inviting sitting room and formal dining room. Don’t hesitate to rock, read, chat or just sit and listen to the grandfather clock chime. Take a walk on the porch and gaze through the old store front window. If you enter the Post Office please notice the architecture. The atmosphere and hospitality will take you back 50 years. Say hello to the postmaster and have a lollipop.
