Overview
The Pembrooke Inn was built in 1886 for the Owner of the Major Shipyard in Sturgeon Bay, Mr Wolter. Built as a family home it has large elegant rooms and a fully oak panelled reception area. In 1994 restoration began returning the Pembrooke to its original majesty. The Pembrooke Inn is situated in downtown Sturgeon Bay, within an easy walk of the historic district, antique shops and beaches. From Sturgeon Bay all of Door County is within an hours drive. The Door County area is famous for its quiet scenic beauty, Cherry season, wine making, winter and summer sports. With many beautiful parks, water activites, a large artist community and regular craft events, Door County has something for everyone.
