Overview
Built in 1884 at the corner of bustling Cedar and Cottage Streets (now Third and Louisiana), this brick vernacular style building has seen more than a century of the town's activity and growth. Among its many early occupants were a tailor shop, an apothecary, a soda fountain, doctor's offices, and a clothing store. Today, after careful restoration, hard work and endless enthusiasm, the Inn at Cedar Crossing offers the comfort and amenities of a historic inn and enjoys a listing on the National Historic Register. As you enter the guest lobby, off Louisiana Street, you are greeted by the feeling of a bygone era - the open banister staircase, pressed tin ceilings, and handsome fireplace. Upstairs, nine tastefully appointed guestrooms await. Entering from either Third Avenue or our guest lobby, you'll be greeted into our Victorian era dining room and casual pub - the perfect compliment to your Door County stay. In the evening, the Gathering Room becomes a relaxing spot to enjoy a parlour game or to curl up with a bowl of popcorn and a book. Fresh baked cookies, herbal tea, hot cider or fresh lemonade are offered each afternoon.
