Welcome to Alexander's Historic Inn, Circa 1870 We are located in the historic coastal town of Darien, Georgia. Darien was one of the world's leading exporters of pine timber from 1870 to 1910. The homes surrounding Vernon Square were owned by the prominent merchants and timber barons. The inn was built in the 1870's. The style and the building type of the home is a Decorated Vernacular Victorian, Georgian House. In January, 2005 the decision was made to convert the residence into an Inn, so others may enjoy the beauty of this historic landmark. We are a private luxury Inn with wireless internet accommodations, satellite tv, two King size suites and one queen size suite. Each suite is beautifully decorated with fireplaces and sitting areas.
