Twin Gables is a Victorian home built in 1879 and located in the Historic District of Cape May. Just blocks from the beach, mall and restaurants, Twin Gables is situated on beautiful Columbia Avenue. Built as a 'Mother/Daughter' house, Twin Gables is located in the left side of the 'Twins'. It features a large screened in-veranda filled with wicker. Quiet moments may be spent listening to the horse and carriages go by or enjoying a full sit-down breakfast or Tea time. Inside this Victorian is bright and cheerful. High ceilings and large lace curtained windows emphasize the airy feeling. Spend time browsing through the menus from the excellent local restaurants or just relax reading, listening to music or meeting other guests. Warm friendly atmosphere awaits you along with the smell of fresh ground coffee and three course breakfasts served on bone china. Featured for breakfast are fresh fruits, juice, coffee and tea, main courses such as homemade Belgian Waffles, Baked Puffed Pancakes, Soufflés, Egg Casseroles, Berried Filled Pancakes and many more. The entrée is then followed by homemade baked items such as sticky buns, scones, Gourmet breads, etc. Tea time is a pleasant way to take a moment and plan the evening. Served from 4 to 5:30 pm. Marble top dressers, washstands, high carved headboards and lace curtains remind you of the Victorian era.
