Overview
'Homespun' literally means hand made which perfectly describes this colonial farmhouse listed on the 'National Register of Historic Places'. The home has been tenderly transformed into a warm, romantic, relaxing, bed and breakfast near Mystic, Mashantucket Pequot Museum & Research Center, Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun casinos, New London Submarine Base, uss Nautilus museum, Mystic Seaport, beaches, hiking, U-Conn., and many other Connecticut attractions. The farm was purchased in 1740 by Simon Brewster. He was a great-great grandson of William Brewster, who arrived in the New World in 1620 on the Mayflower. For over two hundred years the Brewster family ran this historic property as a dairy and orchard business. From the hand crafted beds to the hand hewn beams, Homespun Farm Bed and Breakfast warms you with the spirit of hard working men and women.
