Overview
Sleepy Hollow Farm lies on historic Route 231 in Orange County Virginia. The heartland of American history, where evidence of Indians and the Revolutionary and Civil War periods still exist. Sleepy Hollow is nestled in its own unique hollow surrounded by pastures and woods filled with abundant wildlife. A welcome sign leads you into the property towards the spring fed pond where Mallard ducks, Canadian geese and a Blue Heron are residents. There is also a very large mouth bass named Bubba who teases fishermen. In November 1950 Sleepy Hollow acquired its name by owner Beverley, then a young bride. She and her husband raised 5 children and were gentlemen farmers. Fond memories of those early years are reflected in the walls of the hollow. Family is still very much a part of the hospitality and operation of the bed & breakfast. Since 1984, many families, young couples, newlyweds, and their pets have left the hollow with their fond memories only to return for more of the same. The hollow lends itself graciously for family reunions, retreats, small weddings and receptions.
