The town of Middlebury, with prestigious Middlebury College at its center, is located only 9 miles away, while Lake Champlain and the bridge to NY State is 7 miles away. Chimney Point Historic Site, Dead Creek Wildlife Refuge, (excellent for birding), and Snake Mtn. for a fabulous, easy hike, are all located within 10 miles. Fort Ticonderoga is an easy drive, as is Lake Champlain Maritime Museum, Shelburne Musem, VT Teddy Bear Factory and more, while Burlington, is about 50 miles away.
