Overview
The Virginia Highland Bed and Breakfast is a recently restored 1920's craftsman bungalow nestled in a cottage garden. The inn is a beautiful urban retreat only two miles NorthEast of downtown Atlanta and within walking distance of the Highland Avenue Corridor, home to two miles of unique shopping, fine dining, and varied entertainment or a stroll to the Atlanta Botanical Garden in Piedmont Park. Your host is Adele Northrup, a Chicago transplant and avid perennial gardener. Adele provides attentive informal service, making your stay as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. She has tastefully decorated this historic Atlanta inn with eclectic antiques and collectables from her world travels. The b&b offers all of the comforts of home, a brief respite in a busy world. You'll wake up to a delicious full breakfast served in a sunny old fashioned kitchen or in the dining room in front of a cozy fireplace. Adele's double cheese omelet, challa-style french toast, pecan waffles, or banana nut bread are tempting choices. During your stay in this Atlanta, Georgia inn you will enjoy seasonal fresh flowers cut from the cottage garden. The Albert Room has a queen brass bed and private bath. The Victoria Suite has a queen carved wood bed, private bath with jetted tub and bidet, also a private entrance and balcony. The Studio has a queen and hall bath, European style, with jetted tub. To ensure your comfort, air-conditioned rooms have cable tv, vcr, hair dryer, heated towel rack, telephone, free wireless internet access, desk, and sitting area. We have a screened porch with a Pawley's Island hammock for your enjoyment.
