Reopened in late 2006 after a complete renovation, ME Cancun has transformed into a sophisticated, modern adult-oriented hotel featuring a sleek, streamlined design. Designed to raise eyebrows, blur boundaries, tempt, tease, and seduce, ME by Melia Cancun is home to the Rande Gerber Lounge, Cancun's most arousing night scene, Maxim Pool Bar, one of Mexico's largest infinity-edged pools, and the Level, an entire adult-oriented floor with a private lounge and 52 premium guestrooms, including four suites with private Jacuzzis. The hotel is three blocks from La Isla Mall and two miles from Luxury Avenue Mall. The 10,700-square-foot YHI Spa includes the Life Fitness Gym; relaxation center for facials, body treatments, and massages; and hydrotherapy zone with sauna, steam baths, and hydro-massage pool. The main pool has daily world music. On weekends, the Infinity pool deck and Maxim Beach feature pool parties, live performances, DJs, go-go dancers, and more. The hotel also offers a Mediterranean restaurant, an outdoor grill and snack bar, a private beach club, an Asian bistro, 24-hour room service, a hairdresser, boutique, gift shop, cybercafe, and 24-hour concierge assistance. There are 11 floors with 448 rooms on site, all with breathtaking ocean and sunset lagoon views. In-room amenities range from free pre-tuned iPods to original works by artist Yuri Zatarian. All rooms feature air-conditioning, complimentary wireless Internet access, LCD TVs, DVD players, clock radios, hairdryers, minibars, direct-dial telephones, and safes.
