Overview

Dating to 1701, the Grandhotel Pupp is located in Karloby Vary, one of Europe's leading spa towns for three centuries, which is approximately two hours by car from Prague and the airport. With stately 18th- and 19th-century architecture, the Grandhotel Pupp has hosted leaders of state, ambassadors, and religious leaders throughout the last two centuries, and recently has been the temporary home to vacationing actors. The hotel houses a health club, a spa treatment center, a cafe, several bars, and upscale restaurants specializing in Czech and international cuisine. Guests can also enjoy the golf course on the grounds. One might even catch the Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra or the Miss Czech Republic Beauty Pageant in the neo-baroque Slavnostni Sal, an extraordinary hall that can host functions of up to 700 people. All rooms have marble bathrooms, air-conditioning, at least two phone lines, dataports, fax machines, minibars with free soft drinks, and satellite TV with VCRs.
