Situated 23km north of Hluhluwe in northern Zululand, South Africa, Thanda Private Game Reserve boasts a five- star main lodge, tented camp and award-winning wellness centre. Thanda, meaning 'love' in Zulu, is an expression of the union of Zulu culture, wildlife, romantic decadence and exclusivity. Safaris in open game viewing vehicles are conducted exclusively for Thanda guests on the virtually malaria-free 6000 ha reserve. Thanda Private Game Reserve is a celebration of the Zulu people and their rich culture. Vula Zulu, a traditional homestead at the entrance to Thanda is the setting for guests to have the privilege of watching between 50 and 100 traditional warriors performing age-old war dancing rites. The villas have a separate lounge area with fireplace which separates the lounge and bedroom. The villa also has a mini-bar, large bathroom with two basins, a rock bath and huge indoor shower and outdoor shower, private wooden deck with splash pool, walkway to private sala. All villas have a stunning view of the wild. Luxury Twin Villa (B1V) consists of two ¾ beds which may be pushed together to form a king size bed. The villas have a separate lounge area with fireplace which separates the lounge and bedroom. The villa also has a mini-bar, large bathroom with two basins, a rock bath and huge indoor shower and outdoor shower, private wooden deck with splash pool, walkway to private sala. All villas have a stunning view of the wild. Luxury Double Tent (A1Q) contains one queen size bed, separate dining room with kitchen, communal lounge, splash pool and viewing deck. * No electricity in tents * - Tents are lighted with oil lamps and fire light. Mini bar and refrigerator are gas-operated. Children 16years and under cannot be accommodated in Tents. Luxury Twin tent (A2T) contains two 3/4 beds which can be pushed together to form a king size bed, separate dining room with kitchen, communal lounge, splash pool and viewing deck. * No electricity in tents * - Tents are lighted with oil lamps and fire light.
