Pros and Cons

There are many, many pros to the New York, New York Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. As mentioned earlier, the hotel is environmentally friendly. There are smoking and non-smoking sections in the casino. Guests are never at a loss for a place to eat or drink. The staff and service is unparalleled in Las Vegas, making guests feel as though they are the most important party in the entire hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, ranging from standard rooms to Penthouse Suites. Every room comes with a variety of amenities: Wi-Fi, electronic safe, hairdryer, iron, ironing board, cable television and more. It is a very comfortable hotel, and you won't hear much of anything else outside the walls of your room, so don't worry about noise from the Roller Coaster. The location is phenomenal as well, right in the middle of some of the best-known resorts in Las Vegas: MGM Grand, Excalibur and Planet Hollywood. It is within walking distance to virtually all of the Las Vegas attractions that tourists come to see.

The are only a couple of cons when it comes to New York, New York. First, there isn't much for people under the age of 21 to do in this resort, aside from hang out by the pool or visit the ESPN Zone. However, it is across the street from the kid-friendly Excalibur as well as Planet Hollywood. Also, the bars and nightclubs are extremely popular for people visiting Las Vegas, and even for the locals. This translates to vast crowds virtually every night, and especially on the weekends. There is often a wait to get into Rok Vegas, the well-known nightclub. Nine Fine Irishmen and Coyote Ugly also have immense crowds, so service sometimes lags at these times.

Bottom Line

New York, New York Hotel Casino is one of the best resorts in Las Vegas. There is plenty for adults to do, see, play, drink and eat. Even if you don't stay in the fabulous hotel, do pop in to ride the Roller Coaster or have a drink at world-famous Coyote Ugly. The staff and service at New York, New York is exceptional, even for Las Vegas.

Though the New York, New York Hotel Casino is popular and often sold out, the hotel itself doesn't feel as though it is crowded. This is especially the case because of the excellent service by the New York, New York employees. It isn't a luxury hotel such as the Venetian or Monte Carlo, but the rooms are on par with those hotels and the rates are significantly less. Be sure to book well in advance of your travel so you can get a room at New York, New York.

Because of the lack of activities for young children and the popular bars and nightclubs, New York, New York isn't really suited for young families. It is more of a trendy hotel, great for groups and friends. If you are looking for a romantic or a laid-back atmosphere, this isn't the hotel for you. However, you will not be disappointed if you are a guest here. As a matter of fact, New York, New York may well turn into your hotel of choice when visiting Las Vegas. Be sure to take pictures of the Statue of Liberty and other famous New York landmarks while in Las Vegas. It is a novelty sure to bring a smile to your face as you reminisce about your trip.
