History

According to CasaYbelResort.com, the resort was originally founded by the Barnes family in 1889. Its members were sailing in the Gulf of Mexico and crashed into the site.

Location

The Casa Ybel Resort is located on the southern end of Sanibel Island, which is just over the bridge from the neighboring city of Fort Myers. Once over the bridge, stay on Periwinkle Road for a little more than a mile. Take a left onto Casa Ybel Road, ending at 2255 West Gulf Drive.

Rates
