Las Vegas is a popular wedding destination.
While a
Las Vegas wedding conducted by an Elvis look-alike may not be your first choice for your nuptials, the city offers a variety of wedding packages and options for couples planning to get married. Weddings in Las Vegas can be as impersonal or
romantic as you want. Most chapels employ a wedding coordinator who handles the details of your ceremony, which can ease the stress of wedding planning. A Las Vegas wedding package can also cost considerably less than a traditional wedding ceremony and reception.
Speed
There is no waiting period to get married in Las Vegas and no requirement for a blood test before a marriage license can be issued at the courthouse. Most chapels in Las Vegas can perform a wedding ceremony on the same day it is booked, although it is wise to book more extravagant packages in advance. Reserve by telephone or Internet.
Inexpensive
A wedding in Las Vegas is often significantly cheaper than a traditionally planned ceremony with all the trimmings, which can cost tens of thousands of dollars. A Las Vegas ceremony typically costs a few hundred dollars. A simple reception can be added for between $1,000 and $2,000. For a couple with a tight budget, a Las Vegas ceremony offers a wallet-friendly alternative.
Carefree
Planning a traditional wedding is often a long, stressful and frustrating process. Most Las Vegas chapels offer a variety of wedding packages that take care of the all of the details for the ceremony and reception. Wedding coordinators are also provided to plan and arrange all the details.
All-Inclusive Destination
Las Vegas is an all-inclusive wedding destination, offering licenses, ceremonies, receptions and honeymoons in the same area. A marriage license can be obtained down the street from your wedding chapel. Las Vegas is home to dozens of resorts and upscale hotels that make pleasant honeymoon destinations. Most hotels offer a honeymoon package with romantic amenities such as a complimentary bottle of champagne or spa services for two.
