If you're planning a trip to a popular Florida vacation spot but don't want to leave your dog or cat behind, you have the option of staying in one of many pet-friendly hotels in the Sunshine State. Although it's only the tip of the iceberg, the following list provides pet-friendly hotels in Florida at Key West, Clearwater
beach, Daytona Beach and
Miami Beach.
Banana Bay Resort and Marina
This 48 deluxe guestroom hotel resort will only accommodate guests 18 years and older. Each room contains one canopy king or two double beds, a refrigerator, dial-up Internet access, cable/satellite TV, air-conditioning, a private bath and daily continental breakfast.
Pets are allowed for free. Two small to medium-sized dogs are accepted if they're well-behaved, but the hotel can be a little flexible on the number and size of pets.

Chart House Suites
Guest rooms at Chart House Suites have one king-sized or two queen-sized beds, cable TV, a small refrigerator, a microwave and a balcony or patio facing the bay or boulevard below.
The one bedroom suites have one king-sized or two queen-sized beds with a queen sofa bed in the living room. Guests have access to all the amenities available in guest rooms plus a full size refrigerator, double stove top burner, and cookware/dishware/silverware for four people.
Well-behaved dogs and cats up to 25 pounds are permitted for $25 per week per pet, but only a limited number of rooms are pet-friendly.

The Shores Resort and Spa
This hotel has two types of bedroom units: king-sized with 42-inch flat screen TVs or double sized with 32-inch flat screen TVs. These units also include high speed Internet access, a shower, a large in-room safe and a DVD/CD player.
The Shores Resort and Spa only allows cats and dogs, with dogs weighing a maximum of 50 pounds. Guests pay a fee of $25 per day and a $200 deposit that's refundable based on the condition of the room at check-out.

Loews Miami Beach Hotel
Each room and suite in this large, wheelchair accessible, 790-room hotel includes a flat screen TV, minibar, and coffeemaker with coffee and tea available.
Loews Miami Beach limits the amount of pets at two per room for $25 per stay. Pets receive a tag and bowl at check-in; pet owners get a brochure with hotel and local pet service information; and guests can request dog/cat beds, leashes and collars, catnip and rawhide bones, litter and litter boxes, scratch poles and pooper scoopers.
