History
The Gibson Amphitheatre was built in 1972. Originally, it was known as the Universal Amphitheatre, and it was converted to an indoor theater in 1982. It is named after the Gibson Guitar company as of 2009.

The Gibson Amphitheatre seats up to 6,189.
Notable Venues
Some events at the Gibson Amphitheatre include the 2005 WWE Hall of Fame Induction, the MTV Movie Awards and the Teen Choice Awards. Various musical acts have also performed there.
