What Airlines Fly Into Atlantic City?

The days of flying to Atlantic City, New Jersey, strictly by way of Philadelphia International Airport may soon be over. Air travelers now have the option of flying directly to Atlantic City International Airport on either of the two airlines that currently occupy the airport's terminal.
Atlantic City Has Spirit

Spirit Airlines, the Miramar, Florida-based low-fare carrier, offers daily non-stop flights between Atlantic City and Boston. The carrier also provides non-stop service between Atlantic City and several Florida cities, including Tampa, Orlando and Fort Lauderdale. Those travelers desiring a slightly more exotic destination may want to take advantage of the airlines' connecting service to Nassau, Bahamas, or San Juan, Puerto Rico. This airline offers great destinations at very affordable rates.

First Class Amenities At Reasonable Rates

Orlando-based Airtran Airways recently announced service into Atlantic City. This airline offers passengers amenities that are generally unheard of among low-fare carriers. Each seat on every aircraft provides XM Satellite radio, and the airline offers Wi-Fi Internet service on board, convenient both for business travelers and vacationers who simply want to browse the web.

Airtran Brings New Destination Variety

Atlanta and Orlando are the two cities from which Airtran currently provides non-stop service to Atlantic City. If you don't mind changing airplanes in Atlanta, your travel options will quickly multiply. Airtran offers connecting service to such cities as San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Seattle and New Orleans, among others. Airtran also offers a business-class upgrade, which boasts larger seats, more leg room and complimentary cocktails.

More Flying, Less Driving

Both of these airlines are a welcome addition to the Atlantic City area. Until recently people flying into Atlantic City actually had to fly into Philadelphia, and then make the 65-mile drive to their final destination. Now Spirit Airlines and Airtran Airways fly directly into Atlantic City International Airport, only 20 minutes from the heart of the city.

Save Even More Money

In addition to their low fares, both airlines offer superb vacation packages to all of their destinations. These cost-effective packages often include airfare, hotel accommodations and rental car.
